Governor Ed Rendell
Governor Ed Rendell made a visit to Merion School on Monday to speak with fourth graders about Pennsylvania government. The Governor spent more than an hour taking questions from students, describing the responsibilities of his job and the roles of the various branches and departments of state government. When asked to compare his experience as Mayor of Philadelphia with that of Governor, Rendell expressed that he found the job of Mayor to be more enjoyable because of its "hands on" nature, but appreciated his current role as a greater opportunity to affect positive change.
