Santa arrives!

Santa made a special appearance this past Saturday in the Suburban Square Courtyard, bringing holiday magic and 20 tons of real snow!

One whale of a find

John Grosch had to wait through most of the fall to find out about the object he found in August while looking for seashells on the beach in Avalon, NJ. Jason Poole, Dinosaur Hall coordinator at the Academy of Natural Sciences in Philadelphia, recently confirmed that it is a bone from a whale that lived more than 5 million years ago.

Julianne Hough

Country star Julianne Hough gave a concert to more than 450 enthusiastic Merion Mercy's students and a few dozen faculty members. For the second, consecutive year, Merion Mercy students won radio station 92.5 WXTU's text messaging competition with the prize being a special guest appearance and concert by a musician. Last year, Kellie Pickler performed at the school and this year Julianne Hough entertained students. Julianne is a "Dancing With the Stars" winner and a popular musician.
